Community development foundation passport program
Golden Grove provides corporate sponsorship of the Community Development Foundation Passport Program for Yalgoo Primary School.
The Passport initiative, supported by the Western Australia Department of Education, aims to address some of the complex social, health, emotional and cultural needs in the community often associated with socio-economic disadvantage.
The program aims to:
- Increase an individual’s skill base by encouraging and rewarding community members to assist in varied activities across the school, sport and recreation and justice areas;
- Encourage increased participation in schools from parents;
- Increase and enhance Parent- Teacher relationships;
- Reduce absenteeism; and
- Provide a link for any incarcerated parent to still financially provide for their family.
Golden Grove’s Strategic Sponsorship Program also provides corporate sponsorship to the following annual events:
- City of Greater Geraldton-Greenough Regional Gallery Art Awards
- Yahoo Yalgoo Variety Children’ Charity Fundraising Walk
- Geraldton Sporting Aboriginal Corporation Junior Sport
- City of Greater Geraldton-Greenough Sunshine Festival Float Parade.
