Century
Century is Australia’s largest open pit zinc mine located in Queensland’s North West. Century comprises two sites – the mine and processing operation at Lawn Hill, and associated concentrate dewatering and ship-loading facilities at the Karumba Port, on the Gulf of Carpentaria.
CENTURY – LAWN HILL
Located in tropical Far North Queensland, Century’s Lawn Hill site offers employees a fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) roster commuting from Townsville, Mount Isa or Cairns. Chartered flights from each location are under 90 minutes.
Shifts are 12 hours in duration and rosters are generally 8-days-on/6-days-off, or variations of this.

Accommodation includes pods for short-term contractors, en-suite rooms, “motel” rooms and couples rooms. All are fully air-conditioned and offer a weekly cleaning service.

CENTURY – KARUMBA PORT
Century employees based at the Port of Karumba have a choice of residential or FIFO roster.
Shifts are 12 hours in duration and rosters are generally 8-days-on/6-days-off, or variations of this.
Residential employees enjoy utility and private housing subsidies in addition to enjoying a water-front lifestyle, in a town known to be a recreational fishing mecca!

Permanent FIFO employees enjoy beachfront village-style accommodation. Rooms are fully-air-conditioned and have free-to-air television. Village features include communal barbecuing and recreational fishing facilities and a salt water swimming pool.
